Statement by SIDS Network

Chuck Mihalko, executive manager of the SIDS Network, is urging his members to participate in Scripps Howard's "Saving Babies" project and calling on them to contact their legislators to demand change. "The CDC's Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Investigation Protocol must be applied as a mandatory protocol and not a voluntary protocol as it is now, he said.See the full text at: http://www.sids-network.org/experts/scripps.htm

The PROOF is in the details...

And I have all the paperwork, labs, x-rays and ect. to prove what I stated earlier in my comment I posted. I am the 28 year old, (now 33) who`s lung collapsed, there is no need to hide my identity, It`s too important of an issue because I was in the hospital for two weeks and about died from this. My children ages 15 months, 3 and 7 at the time, were severly affected from the exposure as well. My littlest one practically lived on prednlsone the entire time we lived there- he also had several immune system abnormalities on his lab work and chest x-rays, major respiratory and digestive problems and so many other things wrong, that at the time the doctors just kept saying it was a virus. (most are not aware of how to reconize this) not to mention the fact that I never mentioned the little room in the downstairs that had mold in it cause I wasn`t aware it was harmful to breath. besides the house was beautiful, and a little air freshner helped with the downstairs "basement smell"- which was actually mold. I made 25 trips to the e-r room or doctors office with my 15 month old son alone in 12 MONTHS, that is twice a month for the year we lived there. Not to mention the multiple trips for my 3 year old and myself made.We and every one of our bloodwork was compleytely normal when we moved there, just a month later it got more abnormal as we went. Had it not been for my husband taking a few classes on mold and their "byproducts" about 8 months ago, we would still be in the dark over WHAT was causing our health to deteriorate so bad. I am now 33 years old and lung tests reveal that my lung age is 62 years old. After just 4 months of living there i had my 1st. pneumothorax(chest tube not required), but my second came 8 months later which landed me in the hosp. for two weeks with chest tube and 1 gm. of I.V. Vancomycin every 12 hrs, and shots in my stomach every day of heprin. Now how can a completely normal family in good health(records to prove) go so out of wack in a short time like that if mold isn`t that bad? Especially if it is undetectable on an autopsy? I pray this will urge the researchers to look into this mold problem and the link it may very well have with SIDS. I have all the paperwork if it would be of any help to ANYONE looking to use it for research to help futher this study. please contact me at treecorp2004@yahoo.com

thanks, Tammy
