Training for infant death scene investigations

Allison Chaney, a specialist in child death and injury investigations with the Indiana Department of Child Services, and Tony Ciriello, chief of police in Syracuse, Ind., and a deputy coroner in Kosciusko County, demonstrate how to document a death scene during a training session in Indiana held in May. More than 50 police, coroners, child-protection workers and prosecutors from a 12-county area took part in the two-day session. Experts say it's vital to photograph the scene as soon as possible.
